I was approached by Walter Pfaeffle, the publisher of Germerica.net to re-design their website.
The original design was not working for them and they wanted to approach the new site with a more modern look without being too splashy.
I basically kept to the layout they had but modernized the look with more colors, changing fonts and styling.

Did you know that 43 million Americans trace their heritage to Germany? Add German speakers from other regions of the old Hapsburg Empire and Switzerland, and the number of German Americans climbs to an unequaled 60 million.
German- Americans helped establish this nation in remarkable ways, forging freedom of speech in the 1730s and putting a man on the moon in 1969. Yet the voice of America’ s dominant ethnic group is unheard.
Our rich heritage is hardly mentioned in history books, largely because of virulent anti-German sentiment following two wars, in particular World War I. Many ethnic Germans responded by suppressing their heritage.
So if you got German in your genes, look back with pride at the unique achievements of your immigrant ancestors.
The dynamic voice of the Great Unheard needs to be heard both in society and in Washington.
Germerica.net provides that voice.

A dear friend of mine, Susan Fielding approached me some time ago about wanting a website that show cases her business. Susan is a liaison between the designer and customer with a keen eye for fashion and its upcoming trends and has been in the industry for 30 plus years.
Our first “business” meeting was over dinner at my place- under the circumstances, I though it went pretty well. Try having a conversation with Mia (my 3 month old hungry daughter) and my 6 yr old son who at that time was a walking talking encyclopedia about dinosaurs.
Susan gave me free reign over the designs but went through a list of things she did not like to see.
So, below you will find 2 design mockups I did for the site.
Susan finally chose #3, which is what you’ll see when you visit www.sfieldingaccessories.com.
The chosen design depicts her business identity, which is also her logo color scheme.
Anyway, I hope you’ll visit the site and let me know what you all think.

I’m very happy to announce the completion of KristallnachtRemembered.com.
I was approached by a friend who’s a film correspondent living in Los Angeles to work on her website.
As a matter of fact she had just finished working on a documentary in which she directed and produced called Kristallnact Remembered and she badly wanted to build an exposure for her incredible documentary. I was naturally more than happy to help Evie get the message out by creating for her a website that showcases the documentary that means so much to her.

Introduction:
Kristallnacht is a German word for “Night of the Broken Glass”. On the night of November 9, 1938, Hitler ordered a pogrom against Jews in Austria. Hand grenades destroyed all of Vienna’s 42 synagogues and prayer houses, 6500 Jews were taken into custody and more than half of them were sent to the Dachau concentration camp. Members of the SA, Hitler’s “Sturm Abteilung,” ordered the Jewish residents of nearly 2,000 homes at gunpoint to leave, allowing them only one suitcase to carry with them. Jewish storefronts were smashed, the shattered glass piling up on the pavement.

The documentary “KRISTALLNACHT REMEMBERED” by Evie Sullivan captures the memories of three Viennese Jews, Annie Wagner Lampl, Frederic Morton, and Egon Schwarz, in personal interviews. They were children and young adults when they were forced to leave Vienna after Kristallnacht. They later established productive, happy lives in the USA. This film project may be the last chance to get the facts of this horrible event from actual survivors.
